“Check Out My Fashionnnnnn” is what most rappers seem to be saying now. Present-day artists seem to be using clothing as another medium to express themselves besides their music.

Lil Uzi Vert:

Lil Uzi Vert first made headlines wearing a sweater that was distressed and bleached. When Lil Uzi was seen wearing this sweater fans and haters began to call him homosexual for wearing such a feminine article of clothing. Lil Uzi Vert didn’t respond to any of the hate, and just continued to be the trendsetting individual he is. Lil Uzi Vert started a new wave of genderless clothing, which seems to be popular amongst today’s day and age.  Lil Uzi will continue to wear outfits that are provocative, and he will enjoy his fans hating on him.

Jay Critch:

Jay Critch, a new and upcoming Brooklyn rapper is setting trends with his fashion and not his song.  He is seen wearing hoodies and biker denim frequently. This seems like a basic outfit however, it is becoming the go-to outfit for many teens. Jay Critch is making the Nike tech fleece and Nike full-zip hoodies a must-have item as well as all types of light, distressed biker jeans.  Jay Critch is also making it a habit to wear jeans with Balenciaga shoe-laces hanging out, a fashion crime. However, Jay Critch is doing this to show the media that he doesn’t care what the critics think.
