WEST ORANGE, Nj — History of Race, Class, Gender, and Ethnicity (RCGE) is an elective offered at West Orange High School (WOHS).

Mrs. Morais Lawrence and Mr. Evans both teach the RCGE class and both teachers provide students with opportunity to explore life-changing ideals.

One of the RCGE assignments is to create current event projects focusing on situations affecting modern American people. The projects can lead to intense, thought-provoking discussion.

Not everyone in the RCGE classes agree on ideas which helps diversify the class and students’ discussions.

The RCGE class is offered to all students interested in tough discussions about social, political and global issues.
