There are plenty of ways to stay green that you have not even heard of, below are some ways you can help the environment.

Did you know that paper can be used as compost?

Did you know some older versions of toilets use up to 7 gallons per flush? New toilets use an average of 1.3.

Do you know where to throw old electronics? Go to your local recycling facility for safe e-waste disposal.

Instead of throwing away that old t-shirt, make a reusable tote bag, or donate to charity.

Did you know that it costs manufacturers up to 5 cents per plastic bag, which makes your groceries more expensive? Bring in a reusable bag for a discounted price!

Have old paper towel rolls? Flatten them out to make sheaths for knives in the kitchen!

Order something lately? Foam packing peanuts can be put in the bases of potted plants to help drainage.

Finish a bottle of pasta sauce? Take the label off, wash it, and you have a jar to use for anything! Decorate it with little sequins for a pencil cup, or leave it see through so you can see your favorite snack!

Have all your plants in one place? Place them around your living space strategically, like on the south and west sides, or by the AC unit to save hundreds on cooling and heating!

Wrap an insulation blanket around your water heater to reduce running cost as much as 9%!
