With only a handful of games left in the regular season, the Los Angeles Lakers have almost made it certain that they will not compete in the 2019 NBA Playoffs, and for the first time in 14 seasons“The King”Lebron James will not be playing in the postseason.  This is a surprise to most, but considering the injuries they have faced, it is considerably probable that this team will not continue its play. While the team has faced a tremendous amount of adversity, their 30-36 record is a surprise to most.

On Friday, March 8, Luke Walton watched three of his players suffer from questionable to season-ending injuries. Those injuries include Kyle Kuzma (ankle), Brandon Ingram (Deep Venous Thrombosis in his arm), and Lance Stephenson (toe). Lonzo Ball has been absent from the team since mid-January when he suffered a left ankle sprain against the Golden State Warriors. Sources describe Ball as “emotionally devastated” when an MRI revealed that he had a 3rd Degree left ankle sprain.

Denver Nuggets star Paul Millsap already thinks it is “shocking” to see Lebron James, Lakers, on the outside of the playoff picture, considering the fact that James has been in the playoffs longer than Millsap has played in the league.
