The New York Knicks’ Woeful Season Continues

After the loss on March 25 of 103-92 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Knicks are now left with 54 losses and only 13 wins this NBA season. A record that leaves them dead last in Eastern Conference. With playoff hopes next to none, it is crucial that this shaky front office does their best this coming offseason to make sure the Knicks head into the 2019-20 season ready to fight for a playoff spot.

After the Knicks recent trade they are left with the opportunity to sign two free agents for a max contract. This year’s free agency class features top players like Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, and Jimmy Butler. The addition of just one of these players could help bolster the Knicks chance of making the playoffs. Something they have not done since the 2012-13 season.

Not only this, but their dreadful record also allows them to be in contention for a top draft pick in this year’s upcoming draft class. This year’s Draft Class highlights players like Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett, and Ja Morant. If the Knicks are granted with a top three pick in June they are more than likely to go after one of these franchise players which would only bolster their chances for a playoff spot next season.
