West Orange Public Schools Closed Tomorrow for E-Learning Training

Tyra Hughes, Editor in Chief

ALL after school and evening extracurricular, athletic, and community events scheduled for tomorrow March 11 through Monday, March 16th will be cancelled or postponed without exception. Field trips which have not been cancelled to date will proceed as scheduled. After care programs will occur as regularly scheduled.

All students and staff are expected to leave the building at 2:15 dismissal and the facilities will be closed to staff other than administration, custodial, and building and grounds staff to monitor the evolving Corona virus situation. This will give proper time to thoroughly clean the building and reduce social interaction between students and staff.

As the COVID-19 is progressively getting worse, West Orange Public Schools has also moved the planned professional learning training from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 12 in order to create a plan for online school in the event of a school closure sooner rather than later.

As of right now, school has not been cancelled on Monday, March 16. For updates on school closures, visit WOBOE social media and the district website.
