5 Fun Date Ideas for Valentine’s Day

It’s that time of the year again, where the idea of love is celebrated, and great gestures are expected. This year’s Valentine’s Day is especially stressful due to the coronavirus pandemic. Don’t worry, though! Even though we have limited options in terms of places to visit, you can still have a great time with your significant other.

The trick to ensuring a successful night is time management, great planning, and, most importantly, commitment. The key to a great turnout is food, decor, and dressing according to the event. Below, I will share with you wonderful date ideas for Valentine’s Day to make certain that you and your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, or partner can enjoy on this year’s Lover’s Day.

1) Movie Marathon

It’s the perfect time to have a movie marathon. With nowhere to go and nothing to do, why not enjoy the Sunday at home watching some of the greatest movies of all time. Enjoy some of the best movies that the Marvel franchise has to offer. Don’t forget the most important part of a movie marathon, the snacks ( candy, popcorn, soda, and pizza)!  Spending your Saturday night with the person you love watching something exciting can never be beat.

2) Cook Together

Nothing feels better than a home-cooked meal; at least that’s what my mom always says. Why not share that experience with your significant other on Valentine’s Day? It’s a great date idea: Pick a recipe and get your hands dirty as you whip up something delicious with that special someone. Not only do you get to spend time with your partner, but you also get to have a fun experience that will leave you feeling accomplished.

3) Get Crafty

If you and your partner enjoy arts and crafts, then this is the perfect date idea for you. Have a fun Valentine’s Day consisting of painting, drawing, scrapbooking, and more. Enjoy each other’s company while doing something that you both love. Of course, food is a must, so go crazy!

4) Me Night

Valentine’s Day is about much more than gifts. It’s about showing you affection towards that special person, and in this case, it could be having a self-care night. This is the perfect date idea if all you guys really want that day is to chill. Take the day to teach each other about your self-care routine, and pamper yourselves. Watch a movie, order pizza, and have deep conversations.

5) Scavenger Hunt

If your significant other is a big fan of surprises, then this is the perfect date idea for you. Think of the hidden places in your home or town, and hide whatever gift you planned on gifting your partner there. With clues and riddles, your partner will spend their day trying to figure out where you hid their gift. Spend the day as you watch your bae go on a tour of your shared relationship. Enjoy!
