Coach Sean Devore made waves as the girls’ soccer varsity head coach, but recently, he began the new year as the girls lacrosse team’s newest JV coach. During his time as head coach for girls’ soccer, Devore won 5 league championships, 4 county championships, 2 state sectional championships, and 1 overall state championship. He, like the rest of the lacrosse team, hopes he can find the same success in a new position.
Devore explains why he joined the team, saying, “Coach Perez is a very good friend of mine, and he asked me if I would be interested, so I took the job.” But this sport isn’t completely new to him: He coached for two years, 2020 and 2021, at the high school level. He describes how during this upcoming season he hopes to “develop the girls on JV and prepare them for varsity,” as well as, “help the varsity in any way possible.” All the fans and members of the West Orange Girls Lacrosse program are excited to see what Coach Devore has in store for the team.
