She’s been studying French outside of school for two years and one day hopes to visit France.
From a young age Azari has always loved journalism with a specific interest in politics. Throughout middle school Azari wrote independently and joined The Pioneer eager to write as a 9th grader. Her journalistic idols include Christiane Amanpour, James Baldwin, and Joan Didon. Azari is interested in studying journalism at Princeton her junior summer.
Azari’s favorite part of journalism is the responsibility that comes with telling stories. She prioritizes herself in doing a subject justice with her writing and enjoys reporting on different perspectives. Azari has a lot of strong opinions which drives her love for op-eds. Azari hopes to show herself as a capable journalist and writer in general, but most importantly have fun and be creative with her writing!
