Freia Schwander, Student Journalist
Freia Schwander (she/her) is a student journalist for The Pioneer. She is a junior and briefly wrote for the newspaper and is now excited to get involved again. Freia’s enthusiasm for writing began when she was a child and since she has always enjoyed delving into the deeper analyses of texts and literature. She hopes that, through her writing, she can educate others and share her appreciation of writing with them.
Beyond The Pioneer, Freia also participates in Mock Trial, the Girls Up Club, the Drama Club backstage, and the Italian Club. When she isn’t in school, Freia loves to play the piano or spend time with family and friends. She is an avid music listener and finds solace and peace in music, to dissociate from the stressful and hectic workings of academic and personal life.
Freia speaks German fluently and aspires to study in Germany after high school. She would love to pursue a career in the field of humanities.
