The Holidays on a Budget
During this holiday season, almost everyone is in the holiday spirit, counting down the days until Christmas, waiting for the nights of Hanukkah, and also for the celebration of Kwanzaa.
Joy is all around during this time, but money never is, the holidays can burn holes in the wallets of many.
While Christmas trees can be expensive, it all depends on the tree. Real, or pine trees’ prices range from $25 to $100, the price depends on the size of tree, the quality of the tree, and if a real tree is not sustainable due to allergies, a small, simple fake tree would be the cheapest and easiest thing to do.
In addition to tree shopping, outdoor decorations are something most people celebrating the holidays use. It is easy to go overboard with outdoor decorations. Many fancy decorations that fill up every square inch of the front yard is a waste of money. It is true that it will definitely catch the eye of all the people who pass, but the same eye-catching effect can occur with a few basic decorations that still get the job done. A cheap, attention-grabbing decoration is outdoor lights. Price varies depending on the number and quality of lights but the price usually ranges from $15 to $40 and over.
When it comes to the holidays on a budget, the key is to keep it simple. The holiday spirit can be achieved with or without fancy, expensive items. Instead of spending money, spend time with family and friends because that is the best way to feel the holiday spirit.
