NBA All-Star Preview
The NBA-All Star Weekend is upon us and it should be an exciting one. This year there will be a draft for the All-Star Game. There will be two captains and they choose their players; the captains will be Stephen Curry and LeBron James. This is big news, considering that the formatting is something new and combines a similar idea to the NFL’s short-lived Pro Bowl draft back in 2013, up to 2016. The pre-selected starters from the West are limited to the great talents of Chef Curry, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Anthony Davis, and DeMarcus Cousins. The East will bring upon the mighty forces of the King himself, along with Kyrie Irving, Demar Derozan, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Joel Embiid. The way the draft works is either captain will manage the first pick and will be able to pick anyone out of the starters. After that, they will select the reserves. This NBA-All Star Weekend will be filled with new all-stars such as Victor Oladipo, Ben Simmons, Donovan Mitchell, and Dennis Smith Jr, who looks to make a great impression in this year’s Dunk Contest. The All-Star Game is Feb. 18.
