Letters to Parkland
Diane Rogers, an AP World History teacher at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where the horrific school shooting took place last week, is asking people across the world to write handwritten letters of support, hope, and encouragement to her returning students.
Rogers in her tweet wrote, ““I want them to hold the envelopes addressed from around the world to see that they are not alone and there is still kind and caring people in this world.”
If you are interested in sending a HANDWRITTEN letter to the students at Stoneman Douglas High School, please do so and give it to Ms. Dahl in room 1150 or place it in her mailbox in the Conforti Office by the end of the school day on Monday.
Ms. Dahl will be sending the letters out on Tuesday or Wednesday after she reads through them to assure the letters are appropriate. If any of your friends, family, or loved ones would like to write a letter as well, they are more than welcome to. The address is 5901 NW Pine Island Road, Parkland, FL 33076.
