Meet the Staff: Ismail Taylor

Q: Why did you join newspaper?

A: I joined newspaper because I want to be a sportscaster in the future. 

Q: What do you plan to do after high school?

A: I want to be a broadcaster, so go to college and get a degree. Hopefully I will enter immediate industry. 

Q: What was your favorite and least favorite memory about high school?

A: Favorite- Playing against Seton Hall in my basketball game last year.

Least- AP psychology. We already had a pop quiz. 

Q: How is the basketball team going to be this year?

A: I think we’re gonna be pretty good. We have a lot of young talent and I think we could go far in counties and states. 

Q: Favorite food?

A: Chicken Caesar wrap. 

Q: What are you most excited for this year?

A: Basketball season and graduation. Prom is cool but it only lasts for a day. 

Q: What is some advice you would give to your sister who is coming to the high school next year?

A: Don’t settle for less and never be complacent. It is very important to work hard.

Q: Who is a better basketball player?

A: I’m not answering that question, but a lot of people say she is pretty good. It is hard to tell though because we play different positions. 

Q: If you didn’t play basketball what sport would you play?

A: Football. I’m pretty good at it, I just don’t want to get hit and injured.

Q: What is your biggest fear in life?

A: Being financially unstable. No one wants to be broke.
