Meet the Staff: Samantha Nunez
Q: What is your name/grade and position at The Pioneer?
A: Samantha Nunez, and I am a sophomore. I am the News and Politics Editor as well as one of the In Our School/In Our Town Editors of The Pioneer.
Q: What are some of your hobbies?
A: I enjoy hanging out with my friends and watching Netflix.
Q: What are some of your favorite shows?
A: At the moment I am binge-watching Baby Daddy, but I’m also a huge fan of CW’s “The Flash”.
Q: If you had one day left on Earth what would you do?
A: I would live my life to the fullest and do something wild and out of my comfort zone like sky-diving. Afterward, I would probably chow down on my favorite Hispanic food.
Q: Where do you see yourself in ten years?
A: Ten years from now, I envision myself as a successful journalist that can afford the things that I want, such as my dream house and dream car. I also aspire to live in New York City or Pennsylvania. Two of my dream colleges are NYU and Penn State.
Q: What encouraged you to take newspaper?
A: I have always had a journalism instinct inside of me for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I would watch the news with my parents and imagine myself as a reporter, and later on, I decided I wanted to follow the path of journalism.
Q: What are your favorite kinds of articles to write?
A: Entertainment and fashion.
Q: If you could interview anyone who would it be?
A: My favorite artist, Ariana Grande.
Q: What words would you use to describe yourself?
A: I would describe myself as a shy, kind, and motivated individual.
