Meet the Staff: Kaya Schultz
Q: What is the meaning of your name?
A: Actually, I have no idea. My parents found my name in a book I think.
Q: When and where were you born?
A: I was born in Secaucus, New Jersey, on July 1, 2003.
Q: What is your zodiac sign, and do you identify yourself with it?
A: I am a Cancer. I definitely would say it describes me. It’s quiet and reserved, but also outgoing with friends and caring for others.
Q: Who do you look up to, and why?
A: I would say both my parents because they had a similar life to mine, where they played sports in college but also managed academics. Also, now they have jobs that makes them happy and that’s what I want in life.
Q: What is something you are truly passionate about?
A: Soccer. I’ve been playing since I was basically born. It’s something that you can never be perfect at, so there is always more to improve on.
Q: If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
A: I would say teleportation because it would be so easy to travel the world, and it’d be for free.
Q: What is one thing you can’t live without?
A: My family because they are so supportive and fun to be around.
Q: What would you consider your biggest fear?
A: Being unhappy or unsatisfied with my life and what I’ve accomplished.
Q: If given the chance, would you rather travel back in time, or go to the future?
A: I would say travel back in time because I’ve seen movies and shows and it just looks more enjoyable. It looks more carefree without the technology and kids can just live their life.
Q: What is your favorite memory from WOHS?
A: My sophomore year when the soccer team won states and counties. It was with girls who I grew up with, so it was really nice to accomplish that with them.
