As time evolves, so does the recruiting process for high school athletes. What used to be hand-written letters to offer an athlete a scholarship has now turned into text messages, phone calls, and active social media use. Here are some tips for high school athletes that want to play at the next level!
- Make a highlight reel
- Find a competitive club or AAU team
- Send emails
- Share your game schedule with coaches who you may want to play for
- Create a list of all of your top schools
- Be honest with yourself
- Create a relationship with your coaches
- Maintain a high GPA
- Visit schools that you like even if they are not recruiting you
