Violet Kohlenstein is the 2023-24 Managing Editor of The Pioneer. A Sophomore at West Orange High School, this is her second year as a student journalist.
Kohlenstein values her education, embracing her participation in the Institute for the Humanities, and pursues her passion for female empowerment and the environment through her active membership in the Girls’ Up and Fight For Green clubs. Kohlenstein considers herself to be a creator, as evidenced by her love of writing, crafting, and crocheting.
Maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle is important to her; she finds soccer to be both challenging and rewarding and attests that running is the best form of self-care.
