A junior at West Orange High School, Aanya Ortiz is a key member in the making of the Pioneer Newspaper. Aanya was born and raised in Manhattan. When she moved to West Orange, the cutoff caused her to be one of the youngest juniors in the school. She’s part of both the newspaper club and tennis team, which she describes as a really great place to be part of a team and make new friends. This school year, she wants to earn a’s and b’s in all of her classes.
However, when she’s not focused on school, she enjoys playing animal crossing and baking. After high school, she hopes to either become a journalist or start her own jewelry business. Aanya loves TV, her favorite show being Shameless, and her favorite movie being Bad Boys.
