From shaving his head in front of millions to appointing his wife as the Secretary of Education, Donald Trump and Vince McMahon go way back. From the beginning of the 80s, both billionaires have admired each other’s work for decades. Their long-time friendship has only grown over the years as their work ethics mirror each other in many ways.
This long-time friendship began in the late 1980s when Trump Plaza was the first and only venue to host back-to-back Wrestlemanias. The two young and aspiring businessmen both spoke about their admiration for each other and their business strategies. Over the years both men stayed close and continued supporting each other.
In 2007 Donald Trump made a special Appearance at Wrestlemania 23 in the Battle of Billionaires. During this segment, Donald Trump is seen to take down his close friend leading his team to victory. Then in the heat of the moment, Donald Trump and his team take Vince McMahon, strap him to a chair, and shave his head. As most know, this moment was planned, but it segmented Donald Trump into the history of the WWE Universe and further developed his relationship with the notorious CEO.
Ten years after that moment, Donald Trump was inaugurated as the 45th president of our country, and he appointed as his Small Business Administration from, Linda McMahon. After years as a co-CEO of WWE Vince McMahon’s wife, Linda McMahon, broke into politics. Over the years she worked closely with Mr.Trump and donated lots of money to support his campaign.
Following his most recent election he has appointed Mrs.McMahon as the Secretary of Education and says she will, ”empower the next generation of American Students and Workers, and make America Number One in Education in the World.” Assuming she gets approved by Mrs.McMahon, she will officially step into her role and the McMahon and Trump families’ lore will live on forever.
