After his big win against the Chiefs in the 2025 Super Bowl, Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts is gaining lots of publicity. But it’s not just because of his skills on the field or his good looks, instead, it’s because of his fully female team.
His management team includes his marketer, Rachel Everett, publicist, Shakeemah Simmons-Winter, his brand manager, Jenna Malphrus, his media relations manager, Chantal Romain, and his career strategist, Nicole Lynn. Hurts describes how the group came together organically, and it’s “something that allowed [him] to see a different perspective of things. It gave [him] the eye he didn’t have, and [he] thinks that’s the power of a woman in that.” Hurts also details how he can always lean on them and stay confident in their ability to perform.
Lynn, his contact/career strategist, has gained a major attraction after negotiating Hurts’ $255 million contract in 2023, which was the largest contract by average annual value in NFL history at the time. The record-breaking agent is the first black woman to represent a National Football League draft pick, and the first black female agent to represent at the Superbowl. She represents numerous NFL players and is also the president of football operations at Klutch Sports Group. Hurts explains how Lynn told him, “I’m a woman. People are going to overlook me. People are going to doubt me. They’re not going to give me the due respect. But I’m overcoming it”.
In a franchise dominated by a male population, Hurts and his fully female management are breaking boundaries. This team may even be just as powerful as the Philadelphia Eagles.
