Student Parking Situation Worsens; Students Told to Park in Pond.
As of Monday, March 3rd, parking is now enforced, well, more enforced than it historically has been. In previous years, the parking situation at West Orange High School (WOHS) has never been this bad, but thanks to the 2007 baby boom, there are more seniors than ever. Combine this with the incoming junior drivers, and we have almost enough space in the senior parking lot for everyone.
Yet despite this, student interviews indicate that we love this exceptional challenge. One student equates finding parking to “searching for buried treasure, I feel like a pirate” the unnamed student states. Another student expressed how they appreciate the walk from their car: “If it’s especially rainy one day, I can close my eyes and imagine that I’m hiking through the rainforests of Borneo.”
In response, the school administration commented in record time to our admin correspondent, stating that the principal is currently preparing a flash email instructing students to park in the nearby pond—an untapped underwater parking paradise.
Rumors have however alleged that substitute teachers absolutely hate the new parking lot built especially for them, and are currently planning which spots in the pond to snag. Hopefully, there will still be enough space for the rest of us.
