Lea Deleta, Student Journalist
Lea Deleta (She/Her) is a sophomore at West Orange High School who joined The Pioneer this school year. While Lea had not fully explored writing before, she chose to join the newspaper, which sparked her newfound interest in writing and sharing her ideas with the student body.
Lea is very passionate about learning new things, helping others, and sharing ideas. With this passion, Lea has been an active member in Mock Trial, JSA, Interact club, The Pioneer, and tutoring for the West Orange African Heritage Organization. All these wonderful opportunities have allowed Lea to give back to her community and explore her love for debate and law.
In the future, Lea hopes to be able to pursue her interests in law by working as a litigator.
In Lea’s free time, she loves to ice skate, go on runs, play on her keyboard, spend time with friends, and swim when the weather allows it. Some fun facts about Lea are that she loves listening to R&B, she finds hiking in the forest very relaxing, and her favorite food is Penne alla vodka.
