Celebrities Struggle with Covid-19

Covid-19 is hitting America hard. Families are struggling to pay for essential needs due to a lack of income from their jobs shutting down. International college students have no way to return back home and don’t know where to stay. Health care workers are risking their lives everyday to save those with the disease. Children, whose only way of escaping from their abusive homes was through school, are stuck at home with their abuser. But worst of all, celebrities are being quarantined within their mansions.

While the average U.S. citizen is struggling with debts and boredom, celebrities are struggling with deciding between spending their day swimming in their heated outdoor pool, or playing tennis on their private courts. Really, this quarantine is looking more like a vacation for them than a pandemic.

Despite their comfortable lifestyle, celebrities have not yet proved to be immortal. There have been plenty of celebrities who have been diagnosed with coronavirus such as Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Doris Burke, Idris Elba, Kevin Durant, Daniel Dae Kim, and many more. However, this does not concern actress Vanessa Hudgens. After hearing Donald Trump’s concern that the coronavirus crisis could last until July, this was her response: “Till July sounds like a bunch of bull****. I’m sorry but like, it’s a virus. I get it, like, I respect it, but at the same time, like, even if everybody gets it, like, yeah, people are going to die, which is terrible, but like, inevitable?”

Even though, like, yeah, people are going to die from like the virus because it is like inevitable, actress Gwyneth Paltrow is making sure it is not her. On February 26th, she shared a face mask selfie from the comfort of her first-class cabin of a jet airliner. She is practicing social distancing, making sure to be not only six feet away from people, but 35,000 feet above a struggling America.
