Ruby Page (she/her), started with writing short stories as a kid and continues her passion as a writer for The Pioneer. Although she is in the Humanities program at West Orange High School, where she continues to work on her writing skills, she also enjoys the world of science.
With her mom being a nurse and having experienced many memorable moments with medical workers in her past, Ruby hopes to pursue a career as a pediatric nurse. Following that path, she is currently enrolled in a medical program at Georgetown.
As an altruistic student, Ruby contributes greatly to her community. She is active in various clubs such as Interact Club, Healthy Living Club, and Sports Media. Inspiring youth with her energetic pursuits, Ruby can be found tutoring students at Gregory Elementary for the African Heritage Organization or babysitting around her neighborhood.
In her personal life, she has a love for shopping, with Lululemon being her favorite brand of all time. Shopping is also a time when she can spend time with her friends. Also in her free time, she is big on baking, enjoys reading outside, and loves to run.
With a generous heart, “Always treat people with kindness, ” says Ruby, and believes that “Mental Health Matters,” as it is not a topic to take lightly, nor a topic to be stigmatized by society. She can be reached at [email protected].
