Since mid-November, drones have been flying over the US but recently they have been causing a stir with the people living in America. People started noticing these drones after the 2024 election when Trump was elected the president, these drones have been seen in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Ohio. The FBI has already gotten over 3,000 tips about the drone sightings but mainly at night. As this goes on more and more theories surface about what these drones are doing and why but so far we know from federal agencies that there is no security threat.
Theory One
One theory is that this is all from another country. Some people believe that is a similar case of the Chinese spy balloon, this balloon was going across US airspace for a week before it was shot down. Some people believe that this is a case of another country trying to spy on Americans.
Theory Two
A second theory is that the drones are that this has something to do with the federal government going so far that Trump is saying that he doesn’t know anything but has to decline to comment if he was told about it or not. At a conference on Monday 16th, 2024, President Trump stated “Something strange is going on. For some reason, they don’t want to tell the people and they should because the people are really – they happen to be over Bedminster” This comment was about the drone activity near his golf club in New Jersey which has been confirmed.
Theory Three
A third theory is that the drones are searching for things like gas leaks or radioactive materials. John Ferguson the CEO of Saxon Aerospace shared in a TikTok video that the drones most likely have a target in mind if they are only being seen at night. He believes that if they are also flying that low they are trying to sense something. Some people do agree with this theory saying that drones can be used for environmental monitoring.
Theory Four
A fourth theory is that they are part of a project called “Project Blue Beam.” This project claims that the government is trying to stage an alien invasion. This theory lacks evidence but has also gained millions of views on social media.
Theory Five
A fifth theory is that they aren’t drones but illegally flown planes. It was started by electronic software engineering expert Direen Tech Harry Direen, “After what were likely valid sightings of possibly hobbyist drones, every aircraft can then become suspicious.” This means that because people already understood that there were possible drones in the skies above them at night that anything that people see in the sky with lights could be a drone and believe that it is.
As of right now not many people understand what exactly is happening in the sky above them. But as this continues the theories will keep coming until someone reveals the truth to what is happening above them during the night.
