Foods for Fitness

Want to have a period dedicated to cooking delicious food? Want to learn the basics of cooking? Luckily, Foods for Fitness is a culinary class that is offered here at the West Orange High School.

This course teaches students the basics of cooking, food/kitchen safety, preparation, nutrition, and cooking equipment. Students are given labs depended on the time of year, but they are usually given more during the second semester. In these labs you cook your assigned meal by communicating with others and and then you get to sample what you prepare. 

Foods For Fitness A and B is only a half semester class with 2.5 credits. It’s offered to students throughout 9-12. The prerequisite for Food for Fitness B is Food For Fitness A.
