Isabella Ford-Valiente, Co-Editor-in-Cheif
Izzy Ford-Valiente is the Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Pioneer. Passionate about what she does, Izzy always puts 100% into her work. This year, she hopes to increase focus on the Pioneer Podcast, publish an influx of articles, and grow membership. Outside of the Pioneer, Izzy is a Mountaineer Mentor, the Vice President of GSA, a part of the Black Student Union, in three honors societies — one of which she is the President of and another in which she is the secretary —and the manager of the lacrosse team.
In her free time, Izzy enjoys reading, road trips, watching movies, and hanging out with her friends. Izzy’s motivation can be attributed to her mother, who she acknowledges as her biggest inspiration. As a senior, Izzy’s assertiveness of her ambitions and ability to make the most of any situation will follow her into college as she pursues becoming a news anchor for her own newsroom show.
