Developed by the Babylonians around 2,400 years ago, horoscopes are charts of the planets, sun and moon, and the heavens. They are used to predict personality traits, mood, and give advice. But is it actually real? According to the science community, no. However, the reason astrology is used by many is because of a psychological effect called placebo. Placebos methods that psychologically trick people into believing that they are being helped, therefore making them feel better. No matter what it is, astrology is a comforting and loved method to make predictions and get advice.
