Describing the Promposal Experience

I can say that planning a promposal can be pretty stressful. With all the stress and the bustle that the week brought the best part was the simple answer of a yes, or in other terms the “oh my gosh of course” as she said during our big moment together. That was the best part, hearing the final results, the period at the end of the sentence. It was like I was in a fairytale land of all things sugar and sweet. Many people expect something big and spectacular for their promposal, but, plain and simple works well too. The day was filled with a lot of stress and anxiety. I had mixed emotions: fear, excitement, surprise. What was she going to say? What was she going to think? How would she react? Would she say yes? These were the questions bouncing throughout my brain as I tried to plan her day.

The design is significant to the success of the promposal. I had to have a plan and a backup plan, and a second backup plan. These plans had to be concise and shared with a few trustworthy friends to help prepare for the uncertainty that lay ahead. I had to be confident and willing to shock the world. I figured if she viewed me as confident she would be more inclined to say yes. I also needed a sign, something that portrayed the impending question. I chose to use our favorite song, Say You Won’t Let Go  by James Arthur. My sign read, “Just Say You Will Go to Prom With Me.”  I of course had to accompany the offer with some floral bribery to assure the answer I was looking for. It was stressful and a lot of work but in the end it was worth it.
